General School Admission Policies
Corpus Christi is a parish school, established for the children of the parish. The school also recognizes its responsibility of mission and service to the ethnically and culturally diverse community at large, so other families are welcome to send their children to the school if space is available and if they pass other admission criteria.

Parents should understand clearly the financial obligation which they assume when enrolling children at Corpus Christi. Tuition assistance is available by application in May for the following year.

The parent involvement program is an integral part of the enrollment requirements. Parents are asked to reread the volunteer sheet and the school handbook to ensure their compliance with mandatory parent hours.

In order to meet the needs of our children, we have established a target class size of 32 students. To enrich the school and classroom environment, gender balance and ethnic diversity will be given priority within each of these six areas.

ADMISSIONS PRIORITIES
Siblings of active, registered parishioners currently enrolled & who pass other criteria;

Children of active, registered parishioners who pass other criteria;

Catholics who have brothers and/or sisters enrolled in school who pass other criteria, but are not active, registered parishioners;

Catholics who pass other criteria, but are not active, registered parishioners;

Non-Catholics who have brothers and/or sisters enrolled and who pass other criteria

Non-Catholics who pass other criteria.

As a general rule, the pastor and/or principal may change the admissions priorities if in their judgment the school and the parish will be better served. The pastor determines who qualifies as an active parishioner. Under normal circumstances, no new students will be considered in grades six through eight unless they are transfers from a parochial school.

ACTIVE PARISHIONERS
Those who attend Mass regularly are considered active parishioners. Due to the competition for limited spaces each year, level of involvement will be particularly important in those cases where applicants have similar eligibility status. Involvement must be shown in parish/school programs such as: reader, Eucharist minister, religious education (children or adults), Kinderchurch (director or teacher), Men's and Women's Club, Parish Council Member, Parents Group/School Members, Fundraising (Walk-a-thon, Book Fair, Crab Feed/Silent Auction, Garage Sale), etc. Information must be written on school application and will be verified at the time of acceptance. A two-year involvement prior to beginning of school entrance is expected.

Regular attendance at Mass and financial contributions through use of church envelopes. Two full years prior to the beginning of school year.

Registered at parish office at least two full years before school entrance.

Registered parishioner must be Catholic.
